Company Description Trinity Wireless Solutions, founded in 2022, specializes in wireless technology research, development, and engineering services for defense, commercial, and industrial clients. The company focuses on managing technical risk across all stages of wireless projects, from early concept through commissioning. Its engineers support a wide range of systems, including highly customized embedded wireless solutions and large-scale infrastructure deployments. Trinity Wireless Solutions works with technologies spanning legacy AM/FM analog voice to modern 5G packet data networks. Team members collaborate closely with customers to deliver robust, well-validated wireless solutions that meet demanding performance and reliability requirements.
Role Description This is a full-time, on-site Printed Circuit Board (PCB) Design Engineer role based in Fort Mill, SC. The PCB Design Engineer will design and develop PCB solutions for wireless systems, including schematic capture, component selection, and board layout for analog, digital, and RF circuits. Day-to-day responsibilities include collaborating with system and RF engineers to translate requirements into manufacturable PCB designs, performing design reviews, and ensuring signal integrity, power integrity, and electromagnetic compatibility. The engineer will work with fabrication and assembly partners, generate production documentation, and support prototype bring-up, testing, and validation in the lab. The role also involves troubleshooting design issues, updating documentation, and contributing to continuous improvement of design standards and workflows.
Qualifications
Strong foundation in Electrical Engineering with hands-on experience in Circuit Design and Analog circuit development.
Proficiency in PCB Board Layout, including multi-layer designs, high-speed routing, and design-for-manufacturability principles.
Experience with Radio Frequency (RF) design concepts, such as impedance matching, transmission lines, and layout techniques for RF performance.
Bachelor’s degree or higher in Electrical Engineering or a closely related field, or equivalent practical experience.
Proficiency with Altium and related simulation tools.
Experience with lab equipment (oscilloscopes, spectrum analyzers, VNAs) for prototype bring-up, test, and validation.
Understanding of EMC/EMI, signal integrity, power integrity, and relevant industry standards for wireless and embedded systems.
Ability to read and interpret datasheets, schematics, and technical documentation, and to maintain clear design records.
Strong problem-solving skills, attention to detail, and ability to collaborate effectively in a small, fast-paced engineering team.
Experience with wireless or embedded system development is preferred; familiarity with defense or industrial applications is a plus.
