Our client, a growing RF/wireless technology company, is seeking an experienced PCB Design Specialist to join their engineering team in Irvine, CA. This is a great opportunity for a hands-on Altium expert with a strong background in RF PCB design to join a team building cutting-edge, complex board layouts.

The Role
You'll design and develop complex PCB layouts from preliminary schematics and engineering input, working closely with mechanical and electrical teams. You'll help set design standards, drive DFT/DFM best practice, and liaise directly with fabrication vendors from concept through to release.

What You'll Be Doing
Creating PCB/PCBA designs in Altium, working from schematics and mechanical/electrical input
Creating and modifying schematics as directed by engineering
Building library symbols, footprints, and 3D drawings for components
Conducting design feasibility studies (packaging, cost, manufacturability, performance)
Applying DFT/DFM principles and managing signal integrity on impedance-controlled routing (electrical + RF)
Liaising directly with PCB fabrication vendors on quotes, POs, and engineering queries
Coordinating across Engineering, Test, Quality, and Manufacturing through design and fabrication
Contributing to PCB design specs and standards, balancing electrical, manufacturing, and regulatory requirements

What You'll Need
Bachelor's or technical degree plus 5+ years' relevant PCB design experience
Strong hands-on Altium Designer experience (layout, library management, design release) — Cadence or Mentor experience a plus
Working knowledge of IPC standards: IPC-2221, IPC-7351, IPC-A-600, IPC-6012 (IPC-A-610 a plus)
Strong schematic-reading ability
Mechanical CAD exposure (SolidWorks/AutoCAD) preferred
RF circuit PCB design experience preferred
Excellent verbal, written, and interpersonal communication skills
Must be legally authorized to work in the US
