Job Description:
Insight Global is seeking a Principal Test Engineer to serve as the technical authority and strategic leader for new product introduction test development in our mixed-signal product portfolio. This role demands a proven innovator who can architect comprehensive test solutions spanning from early silicon validation through high-volume production. The ideal candidate will drive testability standards across the organization, lead complex multi-disciplinary projects, and deliver breakthrough test methodologies that enable next-generation test solutions supporting sensing products for wearables, cell phones, as well as industrial and automotive.
Key Responsibilities:
Architect and define end-to-end test strategies for complex mixed-signal semiconductor products from concept through high-volume production.
Drive Design-for-Test (DfT) and testability requirements into IC architecture while establishing test engineering standards and best practices.
Develop advanced ATE and characterization techniques for mixed-signal and sensing products.
Create reusable test IP, frameworks, libraries, and automation solutions that accelerate NPI execution across product families.
Perform technical risk assessments and implement mitigation plans to improve test coverage, quality, and manufacturability.
Serve as the test engineering technical lead during product architecture reviews, design reviews, and stage-gate meetings.
Lead test readiness reviews and drive successful deployment of production test solutions that meet test time, cost, and quality targets.
Research, evaluate, and implement next-generation test technologies, instrumentation, AI/ML tools, and advanced measurement capabilities.
Support high-volume manufacturing by enabling seamless transfer to OSAT partners, establishing KPIs, improving first-pass yield, and reducing test costs.
Mentor engineers, develop test methodologies and training materials, and foster a culture of innovation, continuous improvement, and technical excellence.
