Principal RF Test Engineer, Austin. The person who owns how the hardware gets tested, and shapes it from the start.
I am working with a growing technology company in Austin building advanced RF hardware, and they want a principal to lead RF test.
This is real ownership. You would take the design team's specifications, work out the test plan and architecture, spec the equipment and decide how the automation gets built. You would engage early, while specs are still being written, advising on whether what they are designing can actually be tested. Design for test, from the ground up. You would guide the junior test engineers, work with genuine autonomy, and present at design reviews to customers and leadership. Technical leadership, not a move into pure management.
Likely a fit if you have:
* Ten years plus in RF measurements and test
* Deep practical RF knowledge and the ability to work independently and lead
* Strong test architecture and automation in Python, C or C++
* A system level and system integration background
* A degree in Electrical or Computer Engineering
* US citizen or green card holder required
Any RF heavy background works, the breadth matters more than the badge. Phased array or over the air test experience is a nice plus but not required.
The company is well funded and scaling fast, and the test team is small and high bar, so your decisions genuinely shape the product.
