Principal Engineer – CPU Verification
Location: Bengaluru, India

About the Role
We are looking for a Principal Engineer – CPU Verification to drive the verification strategy and execution for next-generation CPU and SoC designs. You will lead the development of scalable verification environments, define methodologies, and collaborate with architecture, RTL, and validation teams to ensure first-pass silicon success.
Key Responsibilities
Define and lead verification architecture for complex CPU and SoC subsystems.
Develop robust SystemVerilog/UVM verification environments using constrained-random, assertions, and coverage-driven methodologies.
Verify CPU microarchitecture, Cache/Coherency, NoC Integration, GPU interfaces, and Performance Validation.
Own verification planning, functional coverage closure, debug, and signoff.
Validate AMBA-based interconnects including AXI, ACE, and CHI protocols.
Collaborate with RTL, Architecture, Performance, and Post-Silicon teams to resolve complex design issues.
Mentor engineers and drive verification methodology improvements through automation and best practices.
Required Skills
12–18 years of experience in CPU/SoC Design Verification.
Strong expertise in SystemVerilog, UVM, constrained-random verification, SVA, assertions, and coverage-driven verification.
Solid understanding of GPU Verification, Performance Validation, Cache/Coherency, NoC Integration, and modern SoC architectures.
Hands-on experience with VCS, Xcelium, or Questa simulation and debug tools.
Strong knowledge of AMBA protocols – AXI, ACE, and CHI.
Excellent debugging and scripting skills using Python, Perl, or Tcl.
Strong analytical, problem-solving, and technical leadership skills.
Preferred Qualifications
Experience verifying high-performance CPU, AI Accelerator, GPU, or Data Center SoCs.
Exposure to formal verification, emulation, or FPGA prototyping is a plus.
Experience with advanced technology nodes and low-power verification methodologies.
