Principal Mechanical/Electrical Engineer
Summary We are seeking an experienced Principal Mechanical or Electrical Engineer to lead complex engineering projects from concept through completion. This role requires deep technical expertise, cross-functional leadership, and a commitment to delivering innovative, high-quality solutions.
Responsibilities
Lead the design, analysis, and development of mechanical or electrical systems and components
Serve as technical authority and mentor for junior and mid-level engineers
Collaborate with project managers, clients, and stakeholders to define scope, schedule, and deliverables
Review and approve engineering drawings, specifications, and calculations
Ensure designs comply with applicable codes, standards, and regulations
Drive continuous improvement in engineering processes and tools
Qualifications
Bachelor's degree in Mechanical or Electrical Engineering (Master's preferred)
Active Professional Engineer (PE) License required
10+ years of progressive engineering experience, with at least 3 years in a senior or lead role
Proficiency in relevant CAD/simulation software (e.g., AutoCAD, SolidWorks, MATLAB, or equivalent)
Strong written and verbal communication skills
Proven ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment
Preferred
Experience in [industry-specific field, e.g., manufacturing, energy, infrastructure]
Familiarity with ASME, NEC, IEEE, or other relevant standards
