Position Overview
The Power Systems Testing Engineer focuses on system-level testing and validation of power supply hardware used in rack-level platforms. The engineer will support the evaluation and validation of power supplies, power shelves, and rack systems to ensure product performance, reliability, and readiness for deployment. Through hands-on testing and collaboration with internal engineering teams and external stakeholders, this role contributes to the successful development and delivery of scalable infrastructure solutions.
Key Responsibilities
System Testing & Validation
Perform hands-on testing and validation of power supply hardware, including power supplies, power shelves, and rack-level systems.
Set up and maintain system test platforms used to evaluate product performance and reliability.
Develop and execute test plans and validation procedures based on product requirements.
Conduct functional and system-level testing within a lab environment and document test results.
Issue Identification & Root Cause Analysis
Identify, document, and analyze issues discovered during testing across hardware components.
Support troubleshooting and root cause analysis to determine failure points and validate corrective actions.
Work with engineering teams to resolve system and hardware-related issues discovered during validation.
Engineering Collaboration
Collaborate with internal engineering teams and external stakeholders to support product validation and quality objectives.
Communicate testing results, findings, and recommendations to support product development and system improvements.
Assist with validation activities supporting product readiness and deployment requirements.
Quality & Customer Support
Provide technical feedback related to system performance and reliability during product testing.
Support issue investigation and resolution related to customer deployments when required.
Contribute to continuous improvement efforts related to testing processes and product quality.
Minimum Qualifications
3+ years of experience in hardware or system-level testing within a lab environment
Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering, Power Electronics, or related field
OR recent graduate with a Power Electronics focus
Strong foundational knowledge of power electronics and power supply systems (rectifiers), including how they are designed and operate
Hands-on experience with electrical or power system testing, validation, or lab setup
Ability to set up test environments, execute test procedures, and troubleshoot failures independently
Experience working with power conversion systems (AC/DC, DC/DC) or similar electrical systems
Strong understanding of circuit behavior, electrical fundamentals, and system integration
Strong analytical skills with the ability to assess problems and deliver effective solutions
Excellent organizational, interpersonal, and communication skills
Self-motivated with the ability to work independently and collaboratively within a team environment
Proven track record of delivering high-quality work on time
Preferred Qualifications
Experience working with data center infrastructure or rack-based systems
Experience with data center power infrastructure, including PDU, UPS, CDU, or related systems.
Experience supporting hardware validation or integration testing environments
Mandarin language proficiency (preferred but not required)
