The Opportunity: Powering the Stratosphere
We aren’t just building another aircraft or satellite. We are developing an entirely new class of aerospace infrastructure: solar-powered, lighter-than-air platforms operating in the stratosphere (18–21 km above Earth).

Our high-altitude platform systems (HAPS) remain stationed over an area for extended periods, delivering telecommunications connectivity, Earth observation, and environmental monitoring at a fraction of the cost of traditional satellite systems.

These platforms support critical missions such as disaster response, climate monitoring, infrastructure observation, and global connectivity. To make this possible, we rely on highly efficient, resilient electrical power systems designed to operate in the unique conditions of near space. We are seeking a Power Systems Lead to drive the architecture, development, and performance of the electrical systems that power our platforms.

Your Mission
Power System Architecture: Define and lead the architecture for low- and high-voltage electrical power systems, including power distribution, energy storage, and power conversion.

Modeling & Optimization: Develop power budgets, load analyses, and system models to ensure efficient and reliable performance in stratospheric conditions.

Integration & Collaboration: Work closely with electrical, mechanical, software, and systems engineering teams to integrate power systems across the platform.
Testing & Validation: Lead simulation, prototyping, and test campaigns to validate power system performance and reliability.

Operational Reliability: Investigate and resolve power system issues across development, testing, and deployment while ensuring compliance with relevant standards.
Technical Leadership: Mentor engineers, lead design reviews, and drive continuous improvement across the power systems engineering function.
