We are currently seeking a highly skilled and experienced Power Electronics Engineer to lead our power electronics design and development initiatives.
Position Overview
As a Power Electronics Engineer at Infinitum, you will be responsible for the design, development, and optimization of power electronics systems. This role demands a deep understanding of power conversion technologies, a track record of successful product development, and the ability to work with a team of engineers to deliver high-performance solutions.
Responsibilities
Power Electronics Design: Design and develop advanced power electronics systems, including converters, inverters, and power supplies, from concept to production. Emphasis on Variable Frequency Drive development and Active Front Ends.
System Optimization: Optimize power electronics systems for efficiency, reliability, and performance. Conduct thorough analysis and simulations to validate designs.
New Technology Evaluation: Stay abreast of emerging technologies and industry trends in power electronics. Evaluate and integrate new technologies that enhance product performance.
Prototyping and Testing: Oversee the prototyping and testing of power electronics systems. Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure seamless integration with other system components.
Regulatory Compliance: Ensure that power electronics designs comply with relevant industry standards and regulations. Work closely with certification engineering team for certifications as needed.
Collaboration: Work closely with cross-functional teams, including hardware and software engineers, to integrate power electronics solutions into overall product architectures.
Documentation: Create and maintain comprehensive documentation, including design specifications, test plans, and reports. Ensure that documentation meets company standards and regulatory requirements.
Qualifications
Bachelor's or Master's degree in Electrical Engineering, Power Electronics, or a related field.
3+ years of experience in power electronics design.
Strong knowledge of power semiconductor devices, magnetics, and thermal management.
Proficiency in simulation tools such as PLECS, SPICE, MATLAB/Simulink, or similar.
Proficiency with Schematic Capture using Altium.
Experience with PCB layout and design tools.
Familiarity with relevant industry standards and regulatory requirements.
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
Excellent communication and collaboration skills.
