Job Description

Join Our Team as a Electronics Engineer, Power & Analog where you will work on the development of ground systems for Electrical Ground Support Equipment for the Orion spacecraft supporting NASA’s manned Artemis missions.

Location: This position does not support teleworking; you will be located near our Lockheed Martin Space facility in: Littleton CO and be expected to work a flexible 9x80 schedule in the office full-time.

What does this role look like?

The focus for this role is the design and support of ground power and analog test systems, primarily rack designs of low voltage (< 300V) AC to DC and telemetry systems used to power, monitor, and interface with spacecraft vehicles and other flight hardware, including batteries.

Key Activities You Will Accomplish In This Role

Design and maintain engineering drawings and documentation, support build, and perform testing of ground support equipment for a variety of electronic rack-level components, digital and/or analog circuitry, vendor supplied or custom designed cards, computers, processors, network switches, wiring, cable connections, and console and/or data interfaces.

To Be Effective In This Role, You Will Need

Experience with design, manufacturing, test, and final assembly of purpose-built, integrated electronic systems or Electrical Ground Support Equipment (EGSE).
1+ years of professional experience.

Desired Skills

Experience with low to medium voltage systems including safety considerations
Circuit analysis
Test equipment experience including Digital Multimeters, Oscilloscopes, and Voltage Probes
Familiarity with 3-phase AC power
Production of electrical engineering drawings using Zuken
Manufacturing and final assembly of rack level electrical equipment
Failure analysis
Familiarity with electrical design IEEE standards
Windchill (EPDM)
Electrical drawing checking experience
Hardware component selection
Development of electrical design documentation to include operations and maintenance of hardware equipment
Mechanical drawing checking experience
Linux experience
NI Labview operations
Experience or coursework in analog and digital design
Self-starter
Ability to work in a collaborative team-based environment
Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
Proficient with Microsoft Office to include Visio
A willingness for occasional travel
