Oscar is working with a leading trading firm that is looking for an experienced Platform Developer to join their team.
As the Platform Developer, you will be in a high-performance quantitative trading environment. In this role, you will work closely with the Quantic team to design, build, and maintain scalable platform infrastructure that powers advanced trading research and production systems.
Key Responsibilities:
Design, implement, and support scalable Linux-based platform infrastructure
Manage and troubleshoot Kubernetes and containerized environments
Develop infrastructure automation using Terraform and Ansible
Build and maintain CI/CD pipelines and GitOps workflows
Support cloud migration and modernization initiatives
Monitor platform health and performance using observability tools such as Grafana and Prometheus
Collaborate closely with quantitative research and engineering teams to deliver reliable infrastructure solutions
Diagnose and resolve complex platform, compute, and data architecture issues
Contribute to operational excellence, system reliability, and infrastructure scalability
Required Qualifications:
5+ years of experience in Platform Engineering, Site Reliability Engineering (SRE), or Systems Administration
Strong expertise in Linux systems administration, including kernel diagnostics, LVM, hard/soft links, and containers
Hands-on experience with Kubernetes deployment, management, and troubleshooting
Experience with Docker and/or Podman container platforms
Proficiency with Infrastructure as Code tools such as Terraform and Ansible
Experience building and maintaining CI/CD pipelines and GitOps workflows (ArgoCD preferred)
Strong understanding of monitoring and observability tools, including Grafana and Prometheus
Python scripting experience
Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related technical field
Preferred Qualifications:
Experience with OpenShift
Familiarity with Apache Airflow, including DAG troubleshooting and maintenance
Exposure to HPC technologies such as Slurm, Parallel Works, OpenPBS, or Corosync/Pacemaker
Experience with AWS and/or GCP cloud platforms
Knowledge of Proxmox virtualization
Experience working in regulated or compliance-driven environments
Programming experience with Golang or Java/Gradle
