Plant Engineer – Food Manufacturing
Location: Central Texas (relocation allowance provided)
Full-Time | Reports to VP of Operations
We are seeking an experienced Plant Engineer to oversee equipment operation, maintenance, and improvements within our food manufacturing facility. This role focuses on optimizing plant systems, troubleshooting equipment, and leading engineering projects that drive efficiency, safety, and compliance.
Key Responsibilities:
Oversee operation, maintenance, and design of plant equipment
Plan and implement improvements, expansions, and new systems
Analyze data, troubleshoot processes, and recommend solutions
Ensure engineering initiatives align with company standards
Manage preventative/corrective maintenance and refrigeration systems (including ammonia)
Collaborate with cross-functional teams to maintain operational continuity
Lead and guide maintenance teams to optimize performance
Qualifications:
Bachelor’s in Engineering or related field
3–5 years of plant engineering experience in food manufacturing
Strong understanding of mechanical, electrical, and refrigeration systems
Proficient in AutoCAD and Microsoft Office
Excellent problem-solving, project management, and communication skills
Knowledge of health, safety, and environmental regulations
Environment:
Regular exposure to plant floor conditions including noise, heat, and cold.
