Job Summary
We are looking for a highly motivated Performance Verification Engineer with 5+ years of experience in SoC/IP performance verification and validation. The ideal candidate should have strong expertise in developing performance verification environments, analyzing system bottlenecks, and validating performance metrics for complex SoC designs.
Responsibilities
Develop and execute performance verification plans for IPs, subsystems, and SoCs.
Define performance benchmarks, KPIs, and coverage metrics based on product requirements.
Build performance test scenarios using SystemVerilog/UVM and C/C++ based frameworks.
Analyze throughput, latency, bandwidth, QoS, cache efficiency, memory utilization, and power-performance tradeoffs.
Develop traffic generators, monitors, scoreboards, and performance models.
Debug performance issues and identify bottlenecks across hardware and software stacks.
Collaborate with architecture, design, DV, firmware, and software teams to validate system performance targets.
Generate detailed performance reports and provide recommendations for optimization.
Support pre-silicon and post-silicon performance validation activities.
Required Skills
5+ years of experience in Performance Verification, SoC Verification, or System Validation.
Strong knowledge of SystemVerilog, UVM, and verification methodologies.
Experience with performance analysis of complex SoCs and subsystems.
Understanding of cache coherency, memory hierarchy, DDR, NoC, and interconnect architectures.
Experience with scripting languages such as Python, Perl, or Shell.
Strong debugging and problem-solving skills.
Familiarity with simulation, emulation, and performance profiling tools.
Experience working with performance metrics such as latency, throughput, bandwidth, and QoS.
Preferred Qualifications
Experience with high-speed protocols such as PCIe, Ethernet, USB, AXI, CXL, or DDR.
Exposure to performance modeling and architectural analysis.
Experience with emulation platforms and post-silicon validation.
Knowledge of CPU/GPU/AI accelerator architectures is a plus.
Education
Bachelor's or Master's degree in Electronics, Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, or related field.
