PCB Layout Engineer - Orange County, CA
This job is full-time and requires U.S. Permanent Residency/Citizenship due to the nature of work.
Key Responsibilities
Design and develop multilayer PCB layouts for mixed-signal, analog, and high-speed digital circuits
Collaborate with IC design, applications, and hardware engineers to translate schematics into manufacturable PCB layouts
Optimize layouts for signal integrity, power integrity, EMI/EMC compliance, and thermal performance
Implement controlled impedance routing for high-speed interfaces
Perform stack-up design, layer assignments, and material selection
Support prototype builds, debug, and design validation
Ensure compliance with applicable industry and quality standards
Required Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering or equivalent technical training
3–10+ years of PCB layout experience in high-reliability or aerospace/defense environments
Proficiency with PCB design tools (e.g., Altium Designer, Cadence Allegro, or equivalent)
Strong understanding of:
Mixed-signal layout techniques
High-speed design and controlled impedance routing
Power distribution networks (PDN)
EMI/EMC mitigation strategies
Experience with multilayer boards (6+ layers preferred)
Ability to interpret schematics and collaborate across engineering teams
