About the Role
We are looking for a PCB Design Engineer to take ownership of PCB development, including schematic design, component selection, PCB layout, prototype bring-up, testing, validation, and production handover.
Key Responsibilities
Design schematics and PCB layouts for smart-home, IoT, and connected-device products.
Create and maintain schematics and PCB layouts using KiCad, Altium Designer, or equivalent PCB design tools.
Select suitable MCUs, sensors, MOSFETs, relays, regulators, connectors, and protection components.
Design and review power supplies, DC-DC converters, switching circuits, sensing circuits, and interface circuits.
Develop PCB designs for energy monitoring, current sensing, and voltage measurement applications.
Perform PCB bring-up, testing, debugging, troubleshooting, and validation using bench equipment.
Review PCB layouts for signal integrity, power integrity, grounding, routing, thermal performance, and manufacturability.
Apply EMI/EMC, ESD protection, creepage/clearance, and electrical safety considerations during PCB design.
Maintain BOMs, PCB revisions, component libraries, Gerber files, manufacturing files, and engineering documentation.
Coordinate with PCB fabrication and assembly vendors for DFM, prototyping, assembly, and production handover.
Work closely with firmware and mechanical engineers during product development and hardware validation.
Required Skills
Strong hands-on experience in schematic capture and PCB layout design.
Experience with KiCad, Altium Designer EasyEDA, or similar PCB design tools.
Strong understanding of analog and digital electronics.
Good understanding of PCB stack-up, grounding, routing, power distribution, and component placement.
Experience designing circuits using MCUs, MOSFETs, relays, regulators, sensors, connectors, and protection components.
Understanding of power supplies, DC-DC converters, switching circuits, and protection circuits.
Practical experience using oscilloscopes, multimeters, bench power supplies, and other hardware debugging equipment.
Strong PCB debugging and hardware troubleshooting skills.
Ability to read and understand datasheets, reference designs, schematics, and technical documentation.
Good to Have
EMI/EMC-aware PCB design practices.
Power electronics experience.
ESP32/STM32-based PCB design.
Energy metering and sensing circuit design.
Battery and BMS hardware design.
DFM/DFA knowledge.
Multi-layer PCB design experience.
Production testing and test-fixture development.
Ideal Candidate: A hands-on PCB Design Engineer who can independently take a PCB from schematic and component selection through layout, prototype bring-up, testing, debugging, validation, and production readiness.
