Job Summary:
We are seeking a skilled OTA Validation Engineer with strong experience in Telematics, Automotive Validation, and Diagnostics. The ideal candidate will be responsible for validating Over-the-Air (OTA) software updates, ensuring seamless and secure deployment across vehicle ECUs. The role requires hands-on expertise in CAN/CANoe tools and a solid understanding of automotive communication protocols.
Key Responsibilities:
Perform end-to-end validation of OTA (Over-the-Air) software updates for automotive ECUs.
Validate Telematics Control Unit (TCU) functionality and OTA update mechanisms.
Design, develop, and execute test cases for OTA and diagnostic features.
Use tools like CANoe/CANalyzer for network simulation, analysis, and validation.
Analyze CAN logs and debug communication issues across vehicle networks.
Perform functional, integration, system, and regression testing in automotive environments.
Validate UDS diagnostics services and ensure compliance with automotive standards.
Collaborate with development, system, and integration teams to identify and resolve defects.
Ensure OTA updates meet security, reliability, and performance requirements.
Prepare detailed test reports, defect tracking, and validation documentation.
Required Skills & Qualifications:
Bachelor’s degree in Electronics, Electrical, Computer Science, or related field.
1–4 years of experience in Automotive Validation/Testing.
Hands-on experience in OTA or Telematics systems.
Strong knowledge of CAN protocol and tools like CANoe / CANalyzer.
Experience in Diagnostics (UDS, OBD).
Familiarity with automotive standards and validation processes.
Good debugging and analytical skills.
Strong communication and collaboration abilities.
Preferred Skills:
Experience with Vector tools (CANoe, CANalyzer, vFlash).
Knowledge of DoIP, Ethernet, or automotive communication protocols.
Exposure to CI/CD, automation, or scripting (Python, CAPL).
Understanding of cybersecurity in OTA updates.
