Qualifications
Strong foundation in optomechanical engineering, including mechanical design for optical systems, tolerance analysis, and thermal/structural considerations.
Proficiency with CAD tools (e.g., SolidWorks, Creo, or similar) for 3D modeling and detailed engineering drawings, including GD&T and DFM/DFT practices.
Experience working with optics and photonics components (lenses, mirrors, sensors, laser modules) and integrating them into mechanical assemblies.
Background in robotics or automation, with exposure to motion systems, actuators, precision mechanisms, and industrial environments.
Hands-on experience with prototyping, lab testing, validation, and troubleshooting of optomechanical systems.
Ability to collaborate in multidisciplinary teams, communicate technical concepts clearly, and document designs and test results thoroughly.
Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering, Optomechanical Engineering, Physics, or a related field; advanced degree is a plus.
Experience working with suppliers and manufacturing partners, including selection of materials and production processes.
