Optomi, in partnership with our premier client, is seeking an experienced OpenShift engineer to lead the installation, configuration, and support of OpenShift Container Platform environments in a private cloud setting. The role focuses on building and maintaining scalable, secure, and production-ready clusters to support enterprise application deployments.
Scope of Work

The engineer will:
Design, install, and configure OpenShift clusters in a private cloud environment
Ensure underlying infrastructure readiness, including compute, storage, networking, DNS, and load balancing
Configure and maintain OpenShift platform components required for enterprise application deployments
Integrate OpenShift with enterprise systems such as identity management, certificates, and storage services
Support application platform requirements and dependencies for large-scale enterprise workloads
Implement cluster security, access controls (RBAC), and compliance standards
Perform validation, health checks, and performance tuning of clusters
Support troubleshooting and issue resolution during application deployments
Document architecture, installation procedures, and operational runbooks
Collaborate with infrastructure, network, security, and application teams

Required Skills and Experience

Core Requirements
Hands-on experience installing and managing OpenShift 4.x (4.12 or later preferred)
Experience deploying OpenShift in enterprise or private cloud environments
Strong understanding of:
Kubernetes architecture and administration
OpenShift cluster operations and lifecycle management
Networking concepts (ingress, DNS, SDN/OVN)
Storage integration (block, file, and object storage)
Experience supporting enterprise application platforms on OpenShift
Strong Linux (RHEL-based) system administration skills
Experience with automation and infrastructure tools such as Ansible and Terraform
Familiarity with container registries and image management

Preferred Qualifications
Experience deploying enterprise asset and maintenance management platforms on OpenShift
Prior experience deploying MAS 9.x specifically on OpenShift
Experience integrating identity systems (LDAP, Active Directory, SSO)
Experience with certificate and TLS management in clustered environments
Familiarity with monitoring and logging tools (Prometheus, Grafana, ELK/EFK stacks)
Relevant Red Hat certifications (RHCSA, RHCE, or OpenShift Administrator)
Experience supporting enterprise-grade container platform deployments in regulated environments
