Role Overview
We are seeking a skilled Hardware Design Engineer to lead the design and development of
Optical Network Terminal (ONT) hardware boards. The role requires expertise in board-level
design, component selection, and integration of telecom hardware systems, ensuring
performance, reliability, and compliance with industry standards.
Key Responsibilities
Design ONT hardware boards including schematics, PCB layout, and component
selection.
Collaborate with cross-functional teams to define hardware requirements and
specifications.
Integrate optical, digital, and analog components into board designs.
Conduct signal integrity, power integrity, and thermal analysis for board designs.
Work closely with manufacturing teams to ensure design-for-manufacturing (DFM) and
design-for-test (DFT) compliance.
Perform hardware validation, debugging, and optimization.
Prepare technical documentation, design reports, and test procedures.
Ensure compliance with telecom standards and regulatory requirements.
Required Qualifications
Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Electronics, Electrical Engineering, or related field.
Strong experience in hardware board design, schematics, and PCB layout tools (e.g.,
Altium, Cadence, Mentor Graphics).
Knowledge of optical communication systems and ONT/OLT hardware architecture.
Experience with high-speed interfaces (Ethernet, GPON, XGS-PON, PCIe, etc.).
Proficiency in signal integrity and power integrity analysis.
Hands-on experience with lab equipment (oscilloscopes, logic analyzers, spectrum
analyzers).
Preferred Skills
Experience in telecom hardware design, especially ONT/OLT platforms.
Familiarity with embedded systems and hardware-software integration.
Knowledge of EMI/EMC compliance and certification processes
