Job Summary
We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated Offshore Installation Engineer / Coordinator with 5-13 years of experience to join our industry leading Global Projects team. In this role, you will be responsible for planning, coordinating and overseeing offshore transportation and installation activities to ensure project objectives are achieved safely, to the required quality standards, on time and within budget.
Primary Job Functions
Implement project management processes in accordance with company requirements
Demonstrate SSHE leadership behaviors, actively participate in SSHE programs, reviews, and inspections
Ensure compliance with applicable standards, regulations and project requirements
Drive project performance by collaborating effectively with multi-disciplinary teams
Develop/evaluate fundamental transportation and installation (T&I) execution approach/equipment
Provide technical input to scope of work and Installation specifications for tender packages
Provide technical input to tender evaluation exercise
Coordinate internal/external interfaces with project management team, advisors, discipline engineers / contractor
Participate in design reviews, constructability reviews, risk assessments and quality assurance activities
Review and approve installation procedures and contractor studies
Steward Marine Warranty Surveyor review and approval of T&I plans and procedures
Develop T&I surveillance plans with Operations' input
Provide technical support as needed to vessel team(s) during offshore execution
Implement lessons learned and contribute to continuous improvement processes
Maintain accurate project records and documentation
Job Requirements
Technical Skills:
5 - 13 years of prior installation engineering experience
Bachelor’s degree in engineering with GPA 3.5 or above
Strong understanding of projects & project management
Knowledge of industry codes, standards and regulatory requirements
Knowledge of offshore transportation and installation equipment and methods
Analytical Skills:
Ability to understand complex technical documents, drawings, etc.
Strong problem-solving skills to address project challenges
Behavioral Skills:
Excellent verbal and written communication skills
Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously.
Strong organizational skills and attention to detail
Willing to travel to project sites (e.g. offshore), when needed
Geographically mobile willing to travel and relocate globally

Job Role Description
The Offshore Installation Engineer provides technical support to project teams planning and executing offshore installation activities. The Installation Engineer also engages Installation Group Critical Activity Specialists to obtain further expertise in the planning and review of critical activities when required. The Offshore Installation Engineer is the primary interface between the Installation Coordinator and a contractor’s technical organization
The Offshore Installation Engineer may also fill the role of Installation Field Engineer during offshore execution as opportunities arise. The Installation Field Engineer provides onboard installation engineering support to the Vessel Lead. The Installation Field Engineer communicates with other Installation Engineers for technical specialist input where appropriate
Job Role Responsibilities
Planning and Technical Analysis
Develop and evaluate transportation and installation (T&I) execution strategies and equipment requirements to ensure safe and efficient offshore operations
Provide technical input to contractor qualification activities, Invitation to Tender (ITT) packages (e.g. scopes of work, specifications) and tender evaluations
Stakeholder Coordination
Coordinate with Critical Activity Specialists to apply collective expertise to project T&I plans, constructability reviews and project assessments
Interface with engineering disciplines to align design and analysis with project T&I means and methods
Monitor Marine Warranty Surveyor (MWS) review of installation plans and procedures to obtain third party approvals, as required
Procedure and Risk Management
Review and approve installation procedures and contractor studies, ensuring compliance with project requirements
Participate in risk assessments and pre-mobilization reviews to mitigate potential execution risks
Develop T&I surveillance plans in collaboration with project team
Execution Support
Provide technical support to field teams during execution of T&I activities, assisting with resolution of execution issues, site queries and vessel management of change forms
