Role: High Power PCB Design

Role Overview
We are looking for a highly skilled PCB Design Engineer with strong expertise in Cadence Allegro and Altium Designer to lead and deliver complex PCB design activities. This role involves end-to-end PCB development, from concept through layout to manufacturing release, ensuring high-quality, reliable designs aligned with industry standards and stakeholder expectations.
Key Responsibilities:
1. PCB Design & Layout Execution
Perform high-Power, high-density PCB layout design using Cadence Allegro and Altium Designer
Handle multi-layer PCB designs, including complex systems (power electronics, control boards, embedded systems)
Execute component placement, routing, stack-up definition, and constraint-driven design
2. Design Quality & Compliance
Ensure compliance with IPC standards (IPC-2221, IPC-7351, Class 2/3)
Perform DFM, DFA, and DFT analysis to ensure manufacturability and reliability
Conduct design reviews and validations before release
3. Constraint & Signal Integrity Management
Define and implement:
o Electrical constraints
o Impedance control
o Differential pair routing
o Power integrity and signal integrity best practices
4. Cross-functional Collaboration
Work with schematic, mechanical, manufacturing, and test teams to ensure design feasibility
Engage with suppliers and PCB fabricators for design optimization
Support prototype builds, debugging, and issue resolution
5. Tools & Technology Ownership
Hands-on usage of:
o Cadence Allegro PCB Designer
o Altium Designer
Work with:
o Constraint Manager (Allegro)
o Library management systems
o Version control environments (Git/SVN/PLM systems)
6. Data Management & Release
Generate and validate:
o Gerber files / ODB++ / IPC-2581 outputs
o Fabrication & assembly drawings
Ensure proper documentation, traceability, and version control
Required Skills & Experience:
Technical Skills:
Strong hands-on experience in:
o Cadence Allegro PCB Design
o Altium Designer
Deep understanding of:
o PCB fabrication and assembly processes
o High-speed and power electronics design
o EMI/EMC considerations
Domain Expertise:
Experience in high-reliability design environments (Aerospace / Industrial / Automotive preferred)
Knowledge of:
o IPC standards (Class 2 / Class 3)
o Thermal and mechanical constraints
Soft Skills:
Strong problem-solving and analytical ability
Effective communication with stakeholders
Ability to work in fast-paced, milestone-driven programs
