i3 is seeking a detail-oriented and proactive Mid-Level Test Engineer to support testing activities and create documentation as part of a cross-functional team in a fast-paced environment aboard Redstone Arsenal. In this role, you will contribute to the testing of software and systems developed by S3I as well as third-party vendors. Responsibilities include creating and maintaining test plans, procedures, and reports. The position may also require occasional travel to customer-designated locations to assist with operational testing, demonstrations, and field support.
This position will support work on-site at Redstone Arsenal in Huntsville, Alabama.
Set up and maintain test environments including hardware, software, and instrumentation.
Supports test planning, coordination, execution, development of detailed test plans, test reports, and resource allocation management for test events.
Execute tests for functionality, performance, reliability, and compliance.
Document test results and maintain detailed reports on defects, root causes, and corrective actions.
Ensure test coverage and maintain test documentation.
Continuously improve testing processes, tools, and methodologies.
Perform regression, integration, and system testing.
Analyze requirements and technical specifications to create effective test strategies.
Supports software and hardware installation at test event sites as required.
Other duties as assigned.
Bachelor’s degree required. Additional experience may substitute for degree.
3+ years of relevant experience.
Ability to travel to customer sites as required.
Ability to obtain and maintain a DoD security clearance.
U.S. Citizenship is requireed.
Preferred
Experience with Tactical Radio Networks
Strong knowledge of TCP/IP networks
Experience with Variable Message Format and Cursor on Target Messaging Standards a large plus
Experience with Mounted Mission Command (MMC), Joint Battle Command Platform (JBC-P), Blue Force Tracker (BFT) or NOC Systems a plus
Experience with Linux Operating Systems
Experience with understanding and interpreting MIL-STD’s and ICD documents.
Knowledge/Skills
Knowledge of office administration and procedures.
Exceptional judgment capabilities and relationship management skills.
Excellent communication, teamwork, and client service skills; ability to clearly communicate in discussions and written documents, and to deliver feedback clearly and tactfully.

Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, peripheral vision, depth perception and ability to adjust focus.
Regular i3 hours are 800 a.m. - 500 p.m. Monday-Friday, however, additional hours may be required on occasion. Regular and punctual attendance is required.
