Job Summary: We are looking for a skilled Design Engineer with experience in MEP (Mechanical, Electrical, and Plumbing) systems. The candidate will be responsible for designing, planning, and coordinating MEP services for various projects while ensuring compliance with industry standards and client requirements.
Key Responsibilities
Design and develop MEP systems including HVAC, electrical layouts, and plumbing systems.
Conduct site visits and inspections to ensure design accuracy and quality.
Assist in cost estimation and value engineering of MEP systems.
Design HVAC systems with a focus on air quality, humidity control, and thermal comfort (critical for wellness spaces).
Plan electrical systems, including lighting (ambient, therapeutic, and mood lighting), power distribution, and backup systems.
Design plumbing and water systems, including hot water systems, water treatment, and drainage.
Ensure designs meet project specifications, local codes, and safety standards.
Integrate systems that enhance indoor air quality (IAQ) and occupant wellbeing.
Support implementation of energy-efficient and sustainable solutions (e.g., heat
recovery, low-energy lighting, water conservation).
Design specialized systems for: Spa pools, steam rooms, saunas, Hydrotherapy setups, Aroma diffusion and ventilation zoning
Work closely with architects, interior designers, and consultants to align MEP systems with design intent.
Participate in design review meetings and client presentations.
Coordinate with contractors and vendors during execution.
Prepare BOQs (Bill of Quantities), technical specifications, and tender documents.
Ensure compliance with local building codes, environmental regulations, and industry standards.
Provide on-site support during installation and commissioning.
Conduct inspections and ensure systems are installed as per design.
Assist in troubleshooting and system optimization.
Required Skills & Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree in mechanical / electrical engineering or related field.
2–5 years of experience in MEP design (freshers with strong knowledge may also apply).
Proficiency in AutoCAD, Revit MEP, and MS Office.
Strong understanding of HVAC systems, electrical distribution, and plumbing design.
Knowledge of relevant codes and standards.
Good problem-solving and analytical skills.
Strong communication and coordination abilities.
