Role Description
This is a full-time on-site role for a MEP Designer located in Rock Island, IL. The MEP Designer will be responsible for creating detailed mechanical, electrical, and plumbing (MEP) system designs, developing project layouts, preparing and reviewing drawings, and collaborating with engineers, project managers, and clients. This role involves ensuring compliance with industry standards and codes, performing calculations, and reviewing project specifications to deliver high-quality designs within established timelines.
Qualifications
Proficiency in CAD and BIM software for MEP system design and layout
Strong understanding of MEP engineering principles, including HVAC, plumbing, and electrical systems
Ability to interpret and utilize technical drawings, blueprints, and project specifications
Strong organizational, time management, and problem-solving skills
Effective communication and collaboration skills for working with multidisciplinary teams
Knowledge of industry codes, standards, and best practices
Previous experience in construction, manufacturing, or a related field is valuable
Bachelor's degree in Mechanical, Electrical, or similar Engineering discipline preferred
