Conceptualize, develop, and document packaging systems including sterile barrier systems, protective trays, pouches, cartons, and shippers.
Prepare Design History File (DHF) documentation, packaging design verification/validation protocols, test reports, DFMEA and PFMEA.
Coordinate with Sterilization and R&D teams to ensure packaging materials are compatible with Gamma, E-beam, and Steam sterilization.
Design and execute packaging validation studies in accordance with ISO 11607-1 & ISO 11607-2.
Conduct transit simulation and package integrity testing using ISTA 1, ISTA 2, and ISTA 3A protocols.
Investigate packaging test failures and damaged packages and identify effective corrective solutions.
Ensure packaging compliance with applicable FDA and ISO standards.
Work with suppliers to identify suitable packaging materials while optimizing cost without compromising product safety.
Support the design and validation of primary, secondary, and tertiary packaging.
Prepare clear test protocols, reports, and technical documentation.
Collaborate with R&D, Quality, Manufacturing, Regulatory, and supplier teams.
