Mechatronics Engineer Jobs (Remote, Full-Time)
Mechatronics Engineer jobs at Rex.zone focus on integrating mechanical design, electronics, embedded systems, sensors, and control algorithms to build reliable automated products and robotic systems. In this remote, full-time role, you will own end-to-end development from requirements through prototype build, verification testing, and production readiness.
Key Responsibilities
Design and integrate mechanical assemblies with electronics, wiring, sensors, and actuators
Develop and tune control loops for motors/actuators (motion control, PID tuning)
Write or support embedded software and PLC logic for automation systems
Create test plans; execute verification/validation; analyze failures and drive corrective actions
Produce documentation: requirements, schematics, CAD drawings, BOMs, and test reports
Collaborate with product, manufacturing, and quality on DFM/DFT, reliability, and cost targets
Required Qualifications
Mid-Senior experience in mechatronics/robotics/automation or electro-mechanical product development
Strong fundamentals in control systems, motor control, sensors/actuators, and system dynamics
Hands-on CAD experience (e.g., SolidWorks) and design for manufacturability
Experience with at least one: PLC programming, embedded C/C++, Python tooling, or ROS workflows
Ability to plan experiments, analyze data, and document results clearly
Tools & Technologies
MATLAB/Simulink, system identification, motion tuning tools
Python, C/C++, ROS (as applicable), version control
Oscilloscopes, DAQ, multimeters, test fixtures
Requirements management, verification plans, FMEA/DFMEA, structured root-cause analysis
Remote Work Expectations
Remote-first collaboration across time zones using documented requirements, design reviews, and structured test reporting. Some projects may require scheduled on-site lab validation depending on hardware needs.
How To Apply
Apply through Rex.zone with a resume highlighting electro-mechanical system integration, control systems work, and shipped hardware outcomes. Include links to portfolios, technical reports, Git repositories, or design documentation.
