Key Responsibilities
Plan and execute test strategies for non-active medical devices, with a strong focus on orthopedic and dental implants.
Use CAD software (Solidworks or UG) to design and build fixtures and test setups
Act as a technical liaison with customers from initial contact to test report delivery, ensuring excellent client experience throughout the testing process
Optimize and maintain existing test setups; develop new setups for advanced orthopedic testing
Develop, maintain, and update internal lab operating procedures
Ensure compliance with ASTM/ISO standards and internal quality procedures
Revise existing and create new quality management documents
Coordinate technicians and assistants during test execution
Prepare engineering estimates to support quoting and budgets
Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree in mechanical engineering, biomedical engineering, or related fields, Master’s degree preferred
Three years of engineering experience related to mechanical design and testing
Experience in medical device testing is highly desirable
Familiarity with ISO 17025 and regulated environments
Strong communication skills and proven ability to deliver excellent customer experience
Ability to learn quickly and adapt to evolving testing requirements
Ideally, you already have experience in working in a regulated environment (QM experience) and/or with normative (testing) procedures
