Responsibilities
The Mechanical Sustaining Engineer will be responsible for supporting and improving existing mechanical components, systems, and products throughout their lifecycle. This role focuses on sustaining engineering activities, including evaluating field performance, addressing manufacturing or quality issues, and implementing design updates that enhance reliability, reduce costs and improve manufacturability.
The engineer will utilize CAD software to revise and maintain product documentation, ensuring accuracy and compliance with engineering standards. They will lead root cause investigations for product failures, perform hands‑on testing, and develop corrective and preventative actions that maintain product performance and customer satisfaction.

The engineer will collaborate closely with cross‑functional teams—including Quality, Manufacturing, Supply Chain, and Regulatory—to ensure smooth implementation of design changes and continuous improvement of current products. They will play a key role in sustaining product success by proactively monitoring product health, supporting production, and driving incremental improvements.

Requirements
Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering or a related field
5+ years of relevant professional experience
Strong expertise in mechanical engineering and machine design
Knowledge of Manufacturing Engineering, including process optimization and production efficiency
3D CAD proficiency (SolidWorks preferred)
Experience in project management to coordinate tasks and ensure timely completion
Background in Research and Development processes and methodologies
Excellent problem‑solving and analytical skills
Strong communication and collaboration abilities for teamwork across departments
Experience developing consumer products
Familiar with rapid prototyping tools and methods
