Role Description
The Mechanical R&D Engineer will be responsible for designing and developing innovative conveyor systems in accordance with market demands and client specifications. This is a full-time, on-site role located at our Union, NJ facility. Day-to-day tasks will include conducting research, performing product development, carrying out testing, analyzing data, and collaborating with cross-functional teams to optimize and enhance conveyor system performance. The role will also involve addressing unique customer design requirements to deliver tailored solutions.
Qualifications
Proficiency in Research, Research and Development (R&D), and Testing
Experience in Analytical Skills and Product Development
Strong problem-solving and innovative design capabilities
Excellent communication and teamwork skills for cross-departmental collaboration
Proficiency in CAD software and other engineering tools
Bachelor’s degree or higher in Mechanical Engineering or a related field
Knowledge of conveyor systems, materials handling, or manufacturing is preferred
Salary
Range from $100,000 - $110,000
In-office role
Experience
5+ years experience as Senior Mechanical Engineer or R&D Mechanical Engineer in a manufacturing setting
Higher degree in Mechanical Engineering (BSc, MSc) preferred but not required
Outstanding oral and written communication skills in English
