📍 Irvine, CA | 🛠️ Mechanical Engineering (Mid – Principal)
The aerospace industry is evolving fast and my client is building it differently. They're a next-generation aerospace manufacturer combining startup speed with deep industry expertise, using automation, laser-guided layup, and digital manufacturing to rethink how flight-critical components are built and scaled.
We are looking for Mechanical Engineers (Mid, Senior, and Principal levels) who want to own the journey from a blank NX sheet to a high-rate production line.
The Mission
Architect the Digital Thread: We don't do 2D drawings. You will drive a "Model-as-Master" philosophy using Siemens NX and Teamcenter to ensure the 3D model is the authoritative source for manufacturing.
Design for Scale (HVM): This isn't about building one prototype. You will design for automated assembly, die casting, and high-precision machining, applying DfM/DfA principles to ensure we can ship thousands of units, not dozens.
Own the Hardware: From initial sizing studies and structural/thermal FEA to vendor management and "in-the-trenches" failure analysis, you own your module’s lifecycle.
Bridge the Gap: (For Principals) You will mentor the next generation of engineers while collaborating across Systems, Quality, and Ops to ensure our hardware meets DO-160 and FAA standards without losing startup velocity.
What You’ll Bring
The DNA: 4 to 12+ years of experience in high-complexity mechanical environments (Aerospace, EV, Robotics, or Medical Devices).
The Stack: proficiency in Siemens NX. You should be comfortable with complex surfacing, large assembly management, and GD&T.
The Mindset: You value "first-pass quality." You understand CP/CPK, tolerance stacks, and how a design choice on day one impacts the yield on day 100.
The Background: Experience with electromechanical integration—think actuators, gearboxes, thermal management, or safety-critical sensors.
The Location: You are either in SoCal or ready to return to the Irvine/Orange County hub. US Citizenship/Green Card required.
Why Join Now?
The Stage: We’ve emerged from stealth with a $30M Series A and a leadership team that has already scaled the biggest names in the industry.
The Impact: You aren't a cog in a machine. At the Mid-level, you own a system. At the Principal level, you define the framework for an entire industry’s evolution.
The Package: Highly competitive salary, equity, and unlimited PTO.
