The position is hybrid working a minimum of 3 days in the office, typically Tuesday through Thursday, with the ability to work from home the remaining workdays. Candidates must be able to travel to plant sites when needed (approx. 6-8 days/month with ability to support longer durations).

Education/Experience/Licensure
Bachelor of Science degree in Mechanical or Nuclear Engineering from an accredited university (required)
EIT (highly preferred) – or ability to obtain EIT within one year of employment (required)
Previous design experience related to modifications in nuclear (DOE or commercial) plants (preferred)
4+ years' experience working with multiple operating nuclear clients and vendors (preferred)
Ability to obtain unescorted access at an operating or construction nuclear plant (required)
Basic knowledge of mechanical design codes (ASME, ANSI, API, NFPA)
Proficient computer skills (e.g. Microsoft Office Suite). Additional software skills including Bluebeam, MicroStation, AutoCAD, Vault, Plant3D, Inventor, ReCap, SolidWorks, FARO Scene, and other 3D rendering programs (preferred)
Responsibilities
Participate in the development of deliverables for nuclear projects within the Mechanical and/or Nuclear discipline
Report to an assigned Project Engineer and act as a Design Engineer for Mechanical and/or Nuclear projects
Be responsible for working with other engineers and designers to prepare design change packages for modifications at operating nuclear plants and other associated nuclear facilities
Be proficient in preparation of engineering change packages (EC’s)
Conduct field walkdowns to determine existing configuration of plant structures, systems, and components
Follow a strict adherence to mechanical codes and standards
Successful Candidates Will
Possess the ability to interpret codes and, regulations, and standard practices
Be able to demonstrate adaptability; must be proficient in identifying, troubleshooting, and resolving issues within a nuclear power plant environment
Have effective oral and written communication skills (includes technical writing)
Possess excellent communication skills and ability to interface with customers and internal team members under a matrixed organization
