Job Overview

We are seeking a Mechanical Engineer to join our team at Ardmore Roderick. This role supports the design and delivery of mechanical engineering systems, particularly HVAC systems, under the guidance of senior engineers and project leadership.

Key Responsibilities

Assist in the design and development of HVAC systems, including ductwork, piping and mechanical equipment layouts
Assist with preparing design documents, performing calculations and coordinating with multidisciplinary teams to support project execution across all phases—from concept design through construction administration
Prepare engineering calculations, design drawings and construction documents in compliance with applicable codes and standards
Support the development of project specifications, reports and narratives
Coordinate with architectural and engineering disciplines to ensure integrated design solutions
Participate in design reviews and assist in resolving technical issues
Support project teams during all phases of design and construction, including reviewing submittals and responding to RFIs
Conduct site visits and field investigations to verify existing conditions when required
Apply engineering standards, specifications, and company procedures to assigned tasks
Maintain organized project records and documentation
Communicate effectively with project team members and assist with client coordination as needed

Required Qualifications

Bachelor of Science in mechanical engineering
Minimum 2 years of relevant experience
Strong proficiency in Revit and AutoCAD
Working knowledge of Bluebeam
Demonstrate strong technical proficiency and the ability to support engineering design tasks effectively
Knowledge of energy modeling and system optimization
Working knowledge of Bluebeam
Proficiency in Microsoft Office
Have a team player mindset with the ability to communicate proficiently in written and verbal forms
Have good to great organizational skills

Preferred Qualifications

Working knowledge of industrial and/or manufacturing electrical systems design
Familiarity with HVAC load calculation tools
Sustainability credentials such as LEED AP or similar

Salary Range: $65,520-85,280, Ardmore Roderick is providing the compensation range that the company believes it might pay and/or offer for this position, based on the successful applicant’s education, experience, knowledge, skills and abilities in addition to internal equity and specific geographic location.
