About the Client
One of our clients is a US construction technology company in California's Bay Area, building homes through a prefabricated manufacturing process rather than traditional on-site construction. They run their own production facility where engineering, manufacturing and design come together to deliver new homes at scale.
Role Overview
You will sit inside the engineering team responsible for translating home designs into production-ready CAD. The work feeds directly into what comes off the factory floor — your assemblies, drawings and BOMs are what fabrication and field teams build from.
Responsibilities
Produce production-ready SolidWorks models, assemblies, drawings and BOMs
Make sure designs are manufacturable and meet internal standards
Work across teams to resolve design challenges as they come up
Support fabrication and field teams during builds
Contribute to internal modeling standards and workflows
Required Skills and Experience
3 to 4 years of hands-on SolidWorks, building production-level CAD
Parametric modeling with clear design intent
Understanding of manufacturing methods, materials and production workflows
Ability to produce technical drawings for manufacturing and installation
Working knowledge of mechanical systems and MEP-related components
B.Sc. or Associate's degree in Mechanical Engineering, or equivalent certificate
Strong documentation discipline
Nice to Have
Certified SolidWorks Professional (CSWP)
Sheet metal and CNC design experience
PLM/PDM system familiarity
MEP-integrated mechanical design background
Benefits
Medical, dental and vision coverage
401(k) match
PTO
Life and disability insurance
EV charging subsidies
Professional development support
