Mechanical Engineer – HVAC Design (Residential)

We are looking for a Mechanical Engineer with hands-on residential HVAC design experience. You will own the full design process — from load calculations and equipment selection through to complete 3D Revit models and CAD drawings. Both AutoCAD and Revit are required.
What You'll Do
Design residential HVAC systems including cooling, heating, ventilation, and exhaust
Perform system sizing, load calculations, and equipment selection independently
Develop detailed 3D HVAC models in Revit
Prepare CAD drawings, layouts, and equipment schedules
Work with VRF systems, water-source heat pumps, and chilled water systems
Coordinate with architects, structural teams, and project managers
What We're Looking For
Solid residential HVAC design experience (required)
Proficient in AutoCAD and Revit — both required
Experience with VRF systems, water-source heat pumps, and chilled water systems
Full system sizing and load calculation experience
Knowledge of applicable mechanical and building codes
NYC Mechanical and Building Code familiarity is a strong plus
