My client, a well-established multidisciplinary engineering consultancy, is seeking a Mechanical Engineer to join its growing team in New York. This opportunity is open to engineers with 5+ years of experience through to Senior Engineer level candidates.
This role will focus primarily on commercial and corporate workplace projects, offering the opportunity to work on technically challenging building systems within a collaborative consulting environment
.
The successful candidate will support the design and delivery of HVAC and mechanical systems across a range of high-profile commercial interior, workplace, corporate, and base-building project
s.
Key Responsibilit
ies• Design and develop HVAC and mechanical systems for commercial and corporate facilit
ies• Prepare construction documents, specifications, calculations, and technical repo
rts• Support project coordination across multidisciplinary engineering te
ams• Participate in client meetings, site visits, and construction administration activit
ies• Coordinate with architects, owners, consultants, and contractors throughout project deliv
ery• Support project scheduling, technical quality, and delivery milesto
nes• Contribute to sustainable and energy-efficient building system soluti
ons• Desired Backgro
und• 5+ years of experience within MEP/building engineering consult
ing• Strong experience working on commercial, workplace, or corporate interior proje
cts• Knowledge of HVAC system design, load calculations, ventilation, piping, and building systems coordinat
ion
• Familiarity with applicable building codes and industry stand
ards• Strong communication and coordination sk
ills• Experience with Revit and AutoCAD prefe
rred• Preferred Qualificat
ions• PE license or EIT certification prefe
rred• Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering or related f
ield• Experience within multidisciplinary consulting environm
