The Mechanical Engineer will support the design and development of mechanical systems and assemblies while collaborating with Engineering and other cross-functional teams. The ideal candidate is detail-oriented, eager to learn, and thrives in a team environment where safety, innovation, and precision matter.

Responsibilities
Assist in the design, layout, and analysis of custom industrial equipment and field-installed projects.
Prepare and update engineering drawings, 3D models, and BOMs (SolidWorks/AutoCAD).
Select mechanical components and materials to meet project and customer requirements (fans, compressors, coils, housings, filters, etc.).
Perform mechanical calculations and analysis (airflow, heat transfer, load, pressure drop, etc.).
Support system testing, validation, and troubleshooting in shop and field settings.
Prepare submittal packages and technical documentation for projects, including design specs and compliance reports.
Collaborate with production, supply chain, and quality teams to ensure manufacturability and accuracy.
Provide as-built redlines and updates to ensure complete project documentation.

Qualifications
Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering (BSME required).
3–5 years of professional experience in mechanical design or a related engineering discipline.
Knowledge of mechanical design principles and/or manufacturing industry practices.
Familiarity with mechanical components such as fans, compressors, coils, heaters, and housings.
Understanding of thermal loads, fluid flow, and structural design basics.
Exposure to CAD tools (SolidWorks, AutoCAD) for mechanical layout and design.
Familiarity with industry codes and standards (ASHRAE, NFPA, or hazardous location requirements).
Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel) for documentation and reporting.
Strong problem-solving and communication skills.
Desire to work in a specialized field with strict safety and compliance requirements.
Ability to manage multiple projects and follow through on commitments.
Strong organizational and documentation skills.
Comfortable working in a team-oriented, fast-paced environment.
