Job Summary:
We are seeking a motivated Mechanical Engineer in a manufacturing environment to support the design, development, and manufacturing of custom mechanical components and assemblies for a diverse range of customers. This role will work closely with customers and internal manufacturing teams to transform engineering drawings, specifications, and concepts into high-quality, manufacturable products.
Supervisory Responsibilities: none
Key Responsibilities
Enter and maintain MRP / ERP data relating to Engineering.
Design and develop mechanical components, systems, and equipment.
Fixture / tooling design.
Sheet metal design / build to print.
Build to print manufacturing.
Create engineering drawings and 3D models using CAD software (e.g., SolidWorks, or Inventor).
Perform engineering calculations, simulations, and feasibility studies.
Conduct testing and analyze performance to improve product reliability and efficiency.
Collaborate with manufacturing, quality, and project teams to ensure successful product development.
Troubleshoot mechanical issues and implement corrective actions.
Ensure designs comply with industry standards, safety regulations, and customer requirements.
Prepare technical reports, specifications, and documentation.
Support installation, commissioning, and maintenance of mechanical systems.
Manage project timelines, budgets, and resources when required.
Required Qualifications
Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering or a related field.
Proficiency in CAD software such as SolidWorks, and Inventor.
Experience reading and interpreting Engineering drawings.
3-5 years of experience with an emphasis in design and manufacturing.
MRP / ERP experience.
Knowledge of engineering principles, materials, manufacturing processes, and thermodynamics.
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
Excellent communication and teamwork abilities.
Familiarity with engineering standards and quality management systems.
Preferred Qualifications
Sheet metal design.
GD&T experience.
Experience with finite element analysis (FEA).
Experience with project management tools and methodologies.

Education and Experience:
Bachelor’s degree in Engineering or Engineering Technology (preferably Mechanical, Manufacturing or Industrial).
A minimum of 5 years experience in a manufacturing environment, preferably in a Manufacturing or Process Engineering role.
Experience with specifications and standards in the aerospace and semiconductor industries, including but not limited to AS9100, ISO9001, & Copy Exact (Locked Processes)
Experience with and trained in Lean methodologies, including but not limited to; 6S, SMED, VSM, Visual Management / Visual Factory, Problem Solving (A3), Standard Work, Mistake-Proofing, and TPM.
Hands on experience with machining processes, preferably with multi-axis milling and turning.
Experience using ERP and MES software, preferably Infor10 ERP (Syteline) and ShopVue.
Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite with strong MS Excel skills.
Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
