We are seeking a Mechanical Engineer to design, analyze, test, and document complex, high-precision mechanical systems and assemblies for advanced semiconductor manufacturing equipment.
Technical Skills
Strong 3D CAD modeling skills; experience with Siemens NX, Pro/ENGINEER (Creo), or SolidWorks
Strong mechanical engineering fundamentals
Understanding of material properties and machining considerations for aluminum, plastics, ceramics, and quartz
Experience with finite element analysis (thermal and structural)
Tolerance stack-up analysis
Structured problem solving and understanding of failure modes
Statistical analysis and technical data presentation
Responsibilities
Design and analyze mechanical systems and assemblies for semiconductor capital equipment
Perform feasibility studies on new and modified designs
Develop design information and documentation to support packaging and drafting
Create test plans and execute design testing and validation
Support design, fabrication, and test activities
Communicate design intent and technical details to cross-functional teams
Apply structured problem-solving techniques to identify and resolve technical issues
Candidate Attributes
Strong sense of ownership and accountability
Organized with strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail
Effective communicator with the ability to understand complex technical issues
Strong presentation skills with the ability to explain design concepts to audiences with varying technical backgrounds
Preferred Experience
Semiconductor equipment industry
Robotics and end-of-arm tooling design
Power box design, including enclosures, bus bars, component placement, and RF straps
Temperature control systems, including fans, heat sinks, temperature sensors, heat exchangers, cold plates, and heaters
Education
Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering
Master's degree in Mechanical Engineering
