Position Summary
Mechanical Engineer focused on component selection, integration, and performance optimization within large-scale energy systems. This role sits within a core engineering group responsible for ensuring all mechanical subsystems meet system-level requirements, reliability standards, and cost targets.
Key Responsibilities
Select and specify mechanical components for complex energy systems
Collaborate with systems engineering to align components with overall system requirements
Develop technical specifications and support supplier selection
Troubleshoot component-level issues across operating systems
Support validation, testing, and performance optimization activities
Work cross-functionally with design, manufacturing, and field teams
Drive reliability and cost improvements across mechanical subsystems
Contribute to documentation, standards, and engineering best practices
Qualifications
Degree in Mechanical Engineering or related discipline
3–6+ years' experience in mechanical/component engineering
Experience working on complex electro-mechanical or industrial systems
Background in component selection, validation, or integration
Exposure to supplier/vendor interaction preferred
Skills & Experience
Strong understanding of mechanical components (valves, pumps, heat exchangers, etc.)
Experience working within system-level engineering environments
Ability to troubleshoot performance and reliability issues
Familiarity with technical specifications and engineering documentation
Strong cross-functional communication skills
