Position: Staff Mechanical Engineer
Duration: Permanent
Salary: $130K - $180K
Type: 5 days a week onsite
Location: Norcross, GA


Responsibilities:
Focused on designing robotics systems that transport extremely heavy freight (up to 50,000 lbs), including large treadmill‑style platforms.
Targeting candidates with 5–15 years of experience, ideally with backgrounds in robotics, automotive, aerospace/defense, medical devices, or industrial systems.
Work centers on large structural and mechanical components, including weldments, steel forming, sheet metal fabrication, and load‑bearing structures supporting 20,000+ lbs.
Role involves close collaboration on electro‑mechanical integration, working alongside electrical and robotics engineers to assemble complete robotic systems.
This position is 100% new product development, with designs that are confidential and not yet publicly disclosed.
Strong preference for engineers who have taken products from concept and prototyping through full production, including building hundreds of prototypes.
Ideal candidates are strong concept developers with experience delivering the full hardware lifecycle in fast‑paced, hands‑on environments, with automotive industry experience viewed as a strong plus.
Mentor other engineers and contribute to team best practices, reviews, and engineering culture.


Requirements
Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Mechanical Engineering or a related field.
5+ years of industry experience in mechanical design and product development, ideally in robotics, automotive, or industrial systems.
Proven track record of delivering complex, production-ready hardware in a fast-paced, hands-on environment.
Expertise in CAD (e.g., SolidWorks, Onshape, PDM), FEA/simulation, tolerance analysis, and DFM/DFA practices.
Deep understanding of materials, mechanical systems, and a range of manufacturing processes.
Strong systems thinking, with the ability to lead cross-functional efforts and balance tradeoffs across hardware, software, and operations.
Excellent communication, documentation, and mentorship skills.



Direct Placement Roles:
Compensation:
$130,000 to $180,000per year annual salary.
