Job Description
Seeking a highly experienced and motivated Licensed PE or FE (MEP) to join our growing team. These critical role will be based in Munster, Indiana. The ideal candidate will possess a deep understanding of mechanical, electrical, and plumbing (MEP) systems within the built environment, with a strong preference for experience in K-12/secondary education and healthcare projects.
As a Licensed PE OR FE, you will be responsible for providing expert engineering design, analysis, and project management for a variety of projects. You will collaborate with architects, contractors, and other stakeholders to ensure projects are completed on time, within budget, and to the highest quality standards.
Responsibilities:
• Design, analyze, and oversee the installation of MEP systems for new construction and renovation projects.
• Conduct site visits and inspections to assess existing conditions and ensure compliance with project specifications and building codes.
• Develop and review engineering drawings, specifications, and reports.
• Provide technical guidance and support to project teams.
• Manage project budgets and schedules.
• Ensure compliance with all applicable codes, standards, and regulations.
• Communicate effectively with clients, contractors, and other stakeholders.
• Perform calculations, create reports, and conduct detailed analysis related to MEP systems.
Qualifications:
• Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering,
• Current PE or FE license is mandatory.
• Minimum of 10 years of experience in MEP engineering within the built environment.
• Proven experience in the design and implementation of MEP systems for K-12/secondary education and/or healthcare facilities is highly preferred.
• Strong knowledge of building codes, standards, and regulations.
• Excellent communication, interpersonal, and problem-solving skills.
• Proficiency in relevant engineering software (e.g., AutoCAD, Revit MEP, etc.).
• Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously.
