Mechanical Engineer – UAV Design

We are an aerospace and robotics engineering company focused on the development of advanced autonomous unmanned aerial systems for precision data capture, inspection, mapping, and industrial surveying applications. Our integrated platforms combine aircraft structures, embedded systems, sensor payloads, and flight software to deliver high-accuracy performance in complex operational environments including infrastructure, energy, utilities, and government-related use cases.

We design and manufacture full-stack UAV systems in-house, including airframes, mechanical structures, electronics integration, and payload subsystems.

The Role
We are seeking a Mechanical Engineer with strong design experience to support the development of next-generation UAV platforms covering airframe design, structural analysis, materials selection, payload integration, and cross-functional product development.

The ideal candidate has a background in mechanical or aerospace engineering and experience working with lightweight structures, robotics, unmanned systems, or complex electro-mechanical products.

You will contribute directly to the design, prototyping, testing, and refinement of flight-ready UAV systems used in real-world industrial applications.

What You'll Do
Design UAV airframes and mechanical subsystems using CAD tools (e.g., SolidWorks or equivalent)
Develop and iterate lightweight composite and polymer-based structures for high stiffness and durability
Perform structural analysis (FEA) for vibration, fatigue, impact, and operational load cases
Optimize designs for weight, manufacturability, structural performance, and integration efficiency
Integrate sensors, payloads, and onboard electronics into UAV platforms
Collaborate with electrical, software, and systems teams to ensure mechanical-electrical compatibility
Design mounting systems, vibration isolation solutions, and thermal management features
Support integration of flight electronics, power systems, and onboard compute modules

Required Qualifications
Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Mechanical Engineering, Aerospace Engineering, or related field
3+ years of experience in mechanical design, aerospace, robotics, or UAV systems
Strong proficiency in CAD software (SolidWorks or equivalent)
Experience with structural analysis (FEA) and design validation
Understanding of mechanical and electrical system integration
Hands-on experience with prototyping, assembly, and testing
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with attention to detail

Preferred Qualifications
Experience in UAV, aerospace, robotics, or related high-tech hardware industries
Familiarity with composite structures and manufacturing processes
Experience with engineered polymers and additive manufacturing techniques
Knowledge of vibration isolation and precision payload integration
Exposure to flight testing or aerodynamic considerations
Experience in fast-paced, iterative hardware development environments
