Mechanical Engineer - Autonomous Systems

The Role
We are seeking a Mechanical Engineer to join our growing team. In this role, you will contribute to the design, development, and validation of complex mechanical systems for autonomous aerial platforms.
You will work in a collaborative, fast-paced environment, partnering with cross-functional teams to bring innovative products from concept through production while ensuring performance, reliability, and manufacturability.
What You'll Do
Design and develop mechanical components and assemblies for autonomous aerial systems
Create and maintain detailed 3D CAD models and 2D engineering drawings
Perform engineering analyses including stress, thermal, and vibration simulations
Develop specifications and documentation to support manufacturing and assembly
Support prototyping, fabrication, integration, and testing activities
Identify and resolve design and manufacturing issues through root cause analysis
Manage designs through the full engineering lifecycle, including change management processes
Collaborate with cross-functional teams to drive product improvements and design reviews
Support system integration efforts and adaptation of products for evolving applications
Required Qualifications
Bachelor’s (or higher) degree in Mechanical Engineering, Aerospace Engineering, or related field
5+ years of experience in mechanical design and analysis, preferably in aerospace, robotics, or complex systems
Proficiency with CAD and PDM tools (e.g., SolidWorks or similar) and simulation software
Strong understanding of materials and manufacturing processes
Hands-on experience with prototyping and fabrication techniques
Familiarity with relevant industry standards and quality systems is a plus
Strong communication and teamwork skills in a cross-functional environment
Eligibility to work on projects requiring compliance with applicable regulations
Eligible to US Citizen or Green Card Holder only
