Mechanical Engineer (5 – 15 years’ experience)

Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering or a related field.
Professional Engineer (PE) license is a plus.
5 – 15 years of experience in mechanical engineering, with a strong background in building infrastructure projects.
Proven experience with HVAC systems and building automation systems.
Excellent project management and problem-solving skills.
Strong interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to build and maintain client relationships.
Demonstrated leadership and mentorship capabilities.
Preferred - Strong proficiency in data analytics and data visualization tools.
Responsibilities:
Experience with large commercial HVAC systems including chiller plants, DX and chilled water air handling systems, fan coils, VAV units and other HVAC equipment commonly used in commercial office buildings and data centers.
Leverage HVAC mechanical engineering and building automation experience to analyze building system operation and design.
Stay current with industry trends, codes, and best practices in mechanical engineering.
Review and evaluate mechanical system designs, offering expert insights and recommendations to enhance system efficiency, sustainability, and cost-effectiveness.
Work closely with interdisciplinary teams, weaving a wide array of stakeholders’ requests, concerns, and needs into an actionable plan.
Develop and maintain strong client relationships by understanding their needs, providing technical solutions, and delivering exceptional services.
Act as a primary point of contact for clients, addressing inquiries, concerns, and project updates.
Collect, process, and analyze data from building systems to identify opportunities for operation improvements.
Take ownership of relevant project scope – participate in gameplan/backlog development with the appropriate client stakeholders, adapt when needed, and oversee junior engineers completing scope work.
Proactively anticipate client needs and demonstrate a solution-oriented approach to challenging situations.
Proactively identify risks, blockers, and mitigation strategies and work with stakeholders to resolve.
Salary Range: $90,000 - $140,000 DOE
