About the Role:
Cordance Medical is developing a novel focused ultrasound platform for neurological
applications. We are looking for a Mechanical Engineer to support our
engineering team during a critical phase of product development leading toward regulatory
submission.

This role is ideal for an engineer with 3–5 years of product development experience who
enjoys hands-on engineering and wants exposure to every aspect of medical device
development at an early-stage startup.

Responsibilities:
• Create and update SolidWorks CAD models and production drawings.
• Support mechanical design updates and drawing revisions.
• Prepare engineering documentation for design verification and regulatory submissions.
• Assist with design verification testing, protocol execution, and report preparation.
• Support prototype builds, system integration, and laboratory testing.
• Assist with BOM management and engineering documentation.
• Work closely with Mechanical, Electrical, Software, QA/RA, and Manufacturing teams.
• Coordinate with vendors and contract manufacturers as needed.

Qualifications:
Required:
• BS or MS in Mechanical Engineering.
• 3–5 years of mechanical engineering experience.
• Strong SolidWorks CAD skills.
• Experience creating manufacturing drawings and documentation.
• Hands-on prototype build and troubleshooting experience.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Ability to work independently in a fast-paced environment.

Preferred:
• Medical device product development experience.
• Familiarity with FDA design controls.
• Experience supporting verification testing.
• Experience with prototype assembly and laboratory work.
• Knowledge of GD&T and tolerance analysis.• Experience working with contract manufacturers.

remote work when appropriate.
