Job Title: Mechanical Engineer
Job Description
Contribute to space exploration initiatives by supporting end-to-end engineering design. Analyze requirements and develop design solutions in a collaborative team environment. Perform structural, thermal, functional, and tolerance analyses, and produce standards-compliant drawings, calculations, and technical documentation. Present and defend designs at formal design reviews.
Responsibilities
Support NASA's space exploration initiatives through engineering design.
Analyze and develop compliant design solutions in a team environment.
Conduct structural, thermal, functional, and tolerance analyses.
Produce standards-compliant drawings, calculations, and documentation.
Present and defend designs at formal design reviews.
Essential Skills
Proficiency in CAD software and design.
Experience in aerospace engineering.
Designing unique hardware components.
Familiarity with battery technologies.
Additional Skills & Qualifications
Knowledge of ASME Y14.5.
Experience with tolerance analyses, including thermal effects and GD&T.
Skills in rapid prototyping and 3D printing.
Proficiency in PTC CREO or Pro/Engineer.
Work Environment
This is an onsite position, requiring attendance five days a week. The role involves working in a research and development setting focused on new product development for a unique, never-before-created product.
Job Type & Location
This is a Permanent position based out of Houston, TX.
Pay And Benefits
The pay range for this position is $45.00 - $70.00/hr.
