About Afterconcept
Afterconcept is a product development consultancy based in New Delhi. We design and engineer products for clients across the US, Europe, and Australia covering industries from medical devices and industrial automation to consumer products. Our work spans concept development, detailed CAD engineering, technical documentation, and manufacturing coordination with partners in India and China.

About the Role
We're hiring a Mechanical Engineer to work on client projects across multiple industries. You'll be working on real products from your first week designing parts, building assemblies, and producing documentation that goes to actual factories. Projects change frequently and span unfamiliar industries, so the learning curve is steep. You'll be expected to pick things up fast, ask the right questions, and develop engineering judgement through doing, not just studying.

Responsibilities
CAD modelling parts, assemblies, and surfacing in SolidWorks and Fusion 360
Design for manufacturing across processes including injection moulding, sheet metal, CNC machining, and 3D printing
Material research and selection appropriate to product requirements and manufacturing constraints
Creating production-ready technical documentation, drawings, BOMs, tolerance specifications
Coordinating with manufacturing partners on design feasibility, tooling, and production issues
Supporting prototyping and NPD projects from concept through production release
Reviewing test data and failure reports to identify design improvements

Requirements
BE/B.Tech in Mechanical Engineering
Proficiency in SolidWorks and/or Fusion 360, including surface modelling
A strong portfolio demonstrating design thinking and CAD ability, college projects, personal work, competition entries all count
Basic understanding of manufacturing processes and materials
Ability to read and produce engineering drawings to standard

Preferred
Exposure to injection moulding, tool design, or mould flow concepts
Rhino or Grasshopper experience
SolidWorks CSWP/CSWE certification
