Design Engineer, Mechanical – Electrical Vehicle Experience Preferred

Design Engineer, Mechanical – EV Requirements & Qualifications
Bachelor of Science in Mechanical Engineering from an accredited university
5 years of engineering experience, including 2 years focused on EV powertrain integration
Proficiency with SolidWorks, AutoCAD, MATLAB, or similar engineering tools
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
Excellent technical communication, both written and verbal
Ability to work independently and collaboratively with cross-functional teams
U.S. Citizen or Permanent Resident required
Design Engineer, Mechanical – EV Day-to-Day Responsibilities
Collaborate with senior engineers to develop and refine detailed design models and technical drawings
Produce documentation to define mechanical system and component specifications
Apply FMVSS, state, and customer requirements to all design decisions
Prepare technical reports and presentations for internal and external stakeholders
Participate in design reviews and provide constructive technical feedback
Troubleshoot and resolve design and performance issues in partnership with the team
Work closely with manufacturing, quality, and product teams to ensure design feasibility and manufacturability
Stay up to date with the latest EV technology trends, materials, and manufacturing processes
