Mechanical Design Engineer for Precision Machinery

GNR has been retained to identify an innovative MECHANICAL DESIGN ENGINEER with a passion for engineering first-generation, innovative precision machine systems and solutions.

In this elite group, you will be white-boarding and creating solutions that don’t currently exist for advanced custom mechanical / robotic / motion controls solutions (high precision assembly, metrology instrumentation, or lab equipment) to further the company’s growth and production!


SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE REQUIRED
5+ years real world work experience + BS / MS / PhD in Mechanical, Mechatronics, Physics or Engineering field
Experience with any of the following types of equipment design: metrology, semiconductor, lab/medical, precision mechanical designs, automation/visual inspection systems, surgical robotics
Understanding of Material selection, manufacturing processes for machining, additivies, microfabrication etc.
Strong analytical experience: tight tolerance part design & modeling
Able to work within a collaborative team to design mechanical / electro-mechanical / robotics / motion control systems etc.
Ensure prototype performance & functionality before transitioning systems to production manufacturing center
Fluent with 3D CAD tools: SolidWorks, CATIA, Inventor, Autodesk
