We are seeking a highly skilled Mechanical Design Engineer to join a dynamic engineering team focused on designing, developing, and testing high-performance engineered plastic sealing components and related mechanical systems.
Role Overview:
This position is responsible for the design, development, and testing of advanced seal technologies and bearing-related products. The ideal candidate will have strong product development experience and a passion for innovation, reliability, and engineering excellence.
Key Responsibilities:
Design and develop new products and improve existing designs to meet performance, reliability, and customer requirements
Execute laboratory testing and experiments to validate product performance and present findings professionally
Collaborate with Marketing, Sales, and Operations teams to support technical needs and product development
Provide technical support related to application, performance, and installation
Evaluate and manage vendor and contractor relationships throughout project lifecycles
Prepare and present technical reports, design concepts, and engineering solutions to internal and external stakeholders
Participate in client meetings, workshops, and cross-functional discussions
Manage multiple engineering projects within budget and timeline requirements
Support field testing and customer interface activities as needed
What We’re Looking For:
Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Mechanical Engineering or related field
5+ years of experience with SolidWorks 3D CAD (models, assemblies, drawings, part families)
5+ years of experience in new product development and mechanical design
Experience with polymer components, seals, composites, or similar systems
Strong problem-solving, innovation, and design thinking abilities
Excellent communication skills (written and verbal)
Strong organizational, leadership, and time management skills
Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously
Experience working with cross-functional teams, suppliers, and customers
Willingness to travel for customer meetings, field testing, and supplier visits
